“Do you have a desire for things to never end? We’ve made a song about it,” Norwegian pop heroes KEiiNO share regarding their new single Insomnia. Alexandra takes lead vocals on the number that sees her sing “In our insomnia / Dreaming of a lost utopia / We could live forever never die / So close to heaven I need you by my side…” atop hypnotic production from Tom Hugo and Dino Medanhodzic.
With lyrics written by the band plus Alexander Olsson and Dino, Insomnia is a classic KEiiNO banger that draws in elements of nineties house and dance music with lyrics that shimmer with thematic intrigue. Insomnia, of course, features the trio’s unmistakable sound including Sami joiking paired and flawless vocal punches from Alexandra.
The single follows electronic dance number Get Up released a couple of months ago and saw the band work with producers TRüH and Rüdiger Schramm.
