Eurovision people’s champions, Keiino continue to go from strength to strength with their post-ESC releases, the latest, Black Leather, being their strongest yet.
The Norwegian pop trio comprised of Tom Hugo, Alexandra Rotan and Fred Buljo have continued to blend anthemic europop with traditional Sami language raps. Black Leather is a sexy synth-filled dance number lead by Rotan’s powerful vocals and is perhaps the first pop song to feature the line “You came in here looking like a snack…”
Tom Hugo confirmed that Keiino’s debut album is finished, but it is not clear whether Black Leather and previous singles Colours and Dancing in the Smoke are part of this. The group also performed the track at Iceland’s Söngvakeppnin grand final this weekend.
