Rising country star Parker McCollum‘s upcoming album Never Enough is due out May 12th and is one of our most hotly appreciated releases of the year. Even more so after hearing his freshly dropped single Speed.
Parker co-writes Speed with Ryan Beaver with Jon Randall producing. The single is a rousing, high-energy number that sees Parker shine whilst crooning: “Hammer down, never stickin’ around, head harder than a tree / Foot on the gas, never lookin’ back and always ready to leave / I remember shakin’ my head when my old man told me / ‘Boy, one of these days, you won’t always be hung up on speed.'”
Parker shares: “Life is always going a hundred miles an hour and it’s important to try and be aware of that and slow things down every now and then. As you get a little further along in life you start to enjoy the slow and easy life. It takes a little reflection and a little step back from everything to realize how important it is.”
The album will be Parker’s fourth album in total and his second through MCA Nashville following Gold Chain Cowboy. Parker hasn’t released the full tracklist but the set will contain Stoned and Handle On You also.
