Shake yourself out of the post-festive blues with some new music from rising talent Kelly Kidd. Kelly first caught our attention with the stellar Rodeo Clown last May and has continued to deliver a host of queer country-pop flavoured gems – the freshly dropped Anatomy of the Heart being the latest.
Anatomy of a Heart, which Kelly works with Casey Sullivan on, sees the handsome talent croon against a bluesy New Orleans piano melody before a danceable brass section comes into play and tempo picks up. Kelly keeps our emotions on check, navigating a range of emotional textures and soundscapes within the track – a move which also allows him to showcase his musical charm from mellow emoting to grandiose pop vocals.
Kelly’s other musical standouts include Hell Will Be Easy, Johnny Carson and Rodeo Clown. Stream below and connect with Kelly here.
