New Stills of Dragged-Up Richard E. Grant in Film Adaptation of West End Hit ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’

The West End production Everybody’s Talking About Jamie has been a runaway success since debuting at The Apollo Theatre in 2017 after a successful Sheffield debut, so it is no surprise that a film adaptation of the musical would be fast approaching. Arriving on October 21st 2020, the project explores the high school life of Sheffield teenager Jamie who dreams of being a drag queen.

Newcomer Max Harwood takes the lead role and is joined by: Sarah Lancashire, Lauren Patel, Shobna Gulati, Ralph Ineson, Adeel Akhtar, Sam Bottomley, Sharon Horgan and Richard E. Grant.

The stage production’s director, Jonathan Butterell, makes his feature-film debut as director, with screenplay and lyrics by Tom MacRae, songs by Dan Gillespie Sells and a score composed by Sells and Anne Dudley.
