Cameron Hawthorn’s 2019 single Dancing in the Living Room established him as one of the most exciting new figures working in the country genre. The gay Kansas-born artist soared with the nostalgic woozy romantic anthem. He followed this with the sexy country-pop-rock number Oh Hot Damn! in July 2019 – which now receives a charged up dance remix from Chicago based musician Goldhouse.
The remix transforms the already spicy anthem into a genre-shifting dancefloor gem with Hawthorn’s country vocals blending with the slick electronic dance production, taking the track to euphoric levels.
Cameron also released the more genre-friendly country anthem Cowboy Take Me Away – a romantic cover of the Dixie Chicks’ track which featured on their 1999 album Fly. Cameron singing the original lyrics puts a refreshingly queer spin on the classic country track.
Stream the remix of Oh Hot Damn! above. Hopefully Cameron continues to play with genres as even cowboys like to get down.
