Swedish Pop Superstar Darin Delivers New English Language Smash ‘Electric’

“I’m falling in love, got me feeling electric / Just can’t get enough, I will never forget this / ‘Cause the way you got me now, my head is in the clouds / I’m never coming down…” Darin sings on the chorus of his latest single Electric. The Swedish pop heartthrob made a welcome return to English language recording with his 2022 EP My Purple Clouds, with Electric now continuing this journey.

Darin shares, “I was out with my friends, seeking nothing more than to lose myself in the rhythm and joy of the evening. Yet, amidst the crowd, I found someone whose presence was magnetic, weaving their influence into the fabric of my existence.”

The number blends high energy synthpop and swagger, whilst Darin brings his expected charismatic vocal to the fold. The number is produced by James Hurr and Paul Harris, with lyrics also by the pair – as well as Darin and Jordan Shaw. This has all the makings of a perfect Summer anthem and hopefully this will be a track that takes off across Europe. Darin already found success in the UK with his previous EP, finding himself rightfully placed on BBC Radio 2’s regular playlist. Not to mention, the star hitting the top five in the Italian charts.

Darin is currently in the studio working on more music to be released throughout the year. He’ll also be hitting the road in his native Sweden. See the dates below the cover art.
