Bright Light Bright Light returns with fifth album Enjoy Youth which sees the star collaborate with the all-star team of Jon Shave, Ian Masterson, Babydaddy of Scissor Sisters and Richard X. The album is inspired by Bright Light Bright Light aka Rod Thomas’s best friend Janice and her unstoppable love of life, being described as focussing on “celebrating yourself, and making room for joy.” The set arrives on the 17th of May 2024.
Enjoy Youth follows Rod’s 2021 compilation So Gay. So Dramatic which gathered all his non-album tracks. The Welsh star’s previous studio album was the flawlessly Fun City which saw him collaborate with Andy Bell, Jake Shears and Sam Sparro. The new LP features a similarly starry line-up and incorporates the guest vocals of Ultra Naté, Berri, Beth Hirsch and Mykal Kilgore.
Rob has released one of the collaborations with the legendary Ian Masterson, You Want My… which joins Down to One and Boys Etc. as one of the pre-release tracks.
