Efraim Leo, Jakob Karlberg and Max Johnasen make up 2 Far Out, a rising new band that finds inspiration in mid-noughties pop punk, rock and pop – drawing influence from the likes of Blink-182, Green Day, and Machine Gun Kelly. The trio of talented young Swedes all have roots in the music business, skills which they bring to the group’s debut EP Sucker for Heartaches.
Readers will be familiar with Efraim Leo, who we previously chatted with about his Melodifestivalen track Best of Me back in 2021. We caught up with Efraim and fellow band member Jakob Karlberg, who also has a prominent career as a singer-songwriter in his native Sweden, and found out how they helped shape 2 Far Out’s sound, their highlights as performers, and the backstory behind a number of the EPs five tracks.
