“It’s just a summer jam. It’s a good vibe. It just feels like summer,” ZAYN shares regarding his freshly dropped new single Love Like This. The track is produced by The Monsters & Strangerz and Jon Bellion, and sees ZAYN co-write with Bellion, Jordan K. Johnson, Michael Pollack and Stefan Johnson.
Love Like This sees ZAYN navigate back to more pop-leaning UK garage sounds after venturing into R&B centric sounds on his third album. Singing “I guess there’s love like this/ Usually I never wanna jump like this… I guess there’s faith like this/ Give you everything and you can skate like this/ But I think I gotta take that risk ’cause I can not go back/ And I’m loving what you say, what you say, what you say when you’re on my line,” on the track which centres on jumping into an all-consuming love.
ZAYN released third album Nobody is Listening back in 2021 and has since followed this up with standalone Jim Hendrix cover Angel. It is thought that Love Like This may form part of the former One Direction star’s fourth LP. On future music, ZAYN shared: “I’ve got a few really sad ones [songs], yeah. It’s a different sound for me, and it’s got like some more narrative going on like real-life experiences and stuff.”
