Czech singer-songwriter Mikolas Josef returns with his first new music since 2020 with single Boys Don’t Cry. The single is the first taste of Mikolas’s debut studio album expected this year
The former Eurovision star shared: “I want you to know that I am healthy and at my best. That I learned to live above my struggles and that I find nothing but joy in what I do. I hope its of comfort to you to know that I am surrounded by people that I love dearly and who make me better. Together we used this time to create something unique that Im proud of beyond words and I CANT wait to share it with you all.”
“Come and break my heart / You think I’m cold but I / Might fall apart / You always said that / Boys don’t cry / So I’m not crying / Learned to hide the tears inside me / Come and break my heart…” Mikolas croons on the chorus against pounding synth-production laden with slick pop hooks.
Mikolas co-writes with Corey Lerue, Cristiano Cesario, Johannes Herbst, Jordan Haller, and Marco Quisisana. Production is provided by Rob Grimaldi, Johannes Herbst, Marco Quisisana, Corey Lerue, Cristiano Cesario and Mikolas.
Boys Don’t Cry is accompanied by a high energy video from director Ruy Okamura.
