Kip Moore’s Fire On Wheels feels like a straight up contemporary country rock classic. The track which references numerous slices of Americana feels like an immediate standout in Kip’s ever-growing discography.
“I’m talkin’ Alabama, New Orleans to Mississippi / Chicago, where the girls are so Windy City pretty / Up to Maine, to the plains, to the Midwest fields / Out to California with some fire on wheels,” Kip sings on the anthemic chorus of this number produced by Kip and his co-writer Jaren Johnston. Packed with Kip’s charismatic gravelly vocals and barnstorming production that pays homage to the world of classic seventies country-rock, Fire On Wheels is a powerhouse treat.
Fire On Wheels follows Kip’s previous singles Crazy One More Time and Good Life, which are set to feature on his as yet unannounced new album. This LP will follow 2020’s Wild World which hit #5 on the US Country Album Charts.
