Zayn Releases Sentimental R&B Anthem ‘Better’

Zayn is now officially a Zaddy with the birth of his daughter with model partner Gigi Hadid – today also marks the release of Zayn’s latest musical release, sentimental R&B crowdpleaser Better.

Joined by a video which sees the former 1D favourite flaunt a new muscled-up physique, Better sees Zayn sing “Why? Why wait to fight?, Give it a try,
Or I’ll say goodbye while it’s right, Can we save tears in your eyes?” in the track’s chorus. Fans have speculated that the track centres on the idea of second chances and repairing damaged relationships.

Zayn released his sophomore album Icarus Falls back in 2018. With a lack of promotion from Zayn and a sprawling twenty-seven song tracklist, it is speculated that the release was not a smooth one. A UK album chart placing of #77 suggests fans and the general public sensed these issues too.

It is thought Better marks the start of Zayn’s third album campaign – hopefully one that will have more similarities with that of his stellar debut album Mind of Mine and its rollout. A statement regarding the track noted: “With total creative reign on his third album, ZAYN is making the music he has always wanted to.”
