Cult film star, pop juggernaut, and one of the most fascinating people to enter the world of showbiz, Divine, gets the documentary treatment in upcoming documentary, I Am Divine.
Documentarian Steve Yeager already covered the life of Divine in 1998’s documentary, Divine Trash, however there is always room for another documentary on the performer in our book. Judging by the trailer, I Am Divine looks like a far glitzier affair – just check the impressive poster and energetic trailer.
I Am Divine features interviews with John Waters, Mink Stole, Ricki Lake, Tab Hunter and more, and is directed by Jeffrey Schwarz. It is released on DVD and On-Demand by Wolfe Video in early 2014. No word on a UK release as of yet.
