Classic avant garde cinema, experimental silent film, and Lynchian curiosity inspire the video for Looking Glass, Daphne Guinness’s next taste of her upcoming studio album Revelations. Etienne Gilfillan and James Symonds direct the video attached to the new psychedelic anthem from Daphne and producer Tony Visconti.
Through the looking glass nothing is quite what it seems in Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland sequel – and the mysteries of this are channelled into the theatrical pop of Daphne’s track Looking Glass. The singer notes: “A glitch in the matrix / Printed in my brain / Where oh where am I? / An optical illusion / Supernatural glare / Taking the controls” against Visconti’s lushly decadent orchestral production.
The track follows the previously released title track and Deviant Disco from the album Revelations – due August 14th. You can see further album details in our previous post.
