German rising musical talents Elevator Boys have unveiled their latest single, the dramatically titled Ruin Me. Centring on the theme of toxic relationships, Ruin Me sees the band croon “They say, “Love is pain”, How much can I take?, Even if I win, I’m gonna lose, I don’t wanna ruin me…”
The track follows the groups successful single Runaway which saw them take to stages across Europe and assert themselves as a powerful new musical force. The new single was written by Benedikt Schulz, Hailey Collier, Jacob Rott, Julian Braun, Luis Freitag, Michael Matosic, Klosely & Tim Schäcker. The number was produced by Klosely.
The band share: “With “Ruin Me,” our aim was to break new ground. Teaming up with the creative minds of @tobinstar and director @mariofeil , we developed a storyline exploring toxic relationships. Exaggeratedly, we depicted the agony and horrors of love at its worst.” The group continue: “And as you see in our little behind the scenes collection @elevatorboys delivered despite the extreme shooting conditions we put them through – from icy, wet floors to a 5-degree cold water pool in the middle of the night.”
The German stars add: “Collaborating with @akkurat.studios on this music video was a fantastic experience. Together, we learned, created, and solved numerous challenges. We’re immensely proud of what our team, AKKURAT, the boys achieved in such a short time.” The single comes attached with a cinematic video directed by Mario Feil, which showcases the full star power of the group – as well as their undeniably impressive physiques.
