Duncan Laurence teams-up with co-writers Leland, Jordan Garfield and Sam de Jong for his new single Anything, sharing “I’ve been wanting to release this song ever since the first words and melodies were written.”
Featuring some of the singer-songwriter’s strongest lyrics, Anything sings of doing anything for the one you would love. “I had a vision of you / Leaving me for someone prettier / So I found the fountain of youth / To make sure that I’ll never wither…” the Dutch star croons in one of the verses. There are vibes of Sufjan Stevens in this one, which was expected to feature on Laurence’s shelved sophomore album Skyboy.
The new single follows Duncan’s cover of You’ll Never Walk Alone released in May to mark Liverpool hosting Eurovision. Prior to that he released expected album title track Skyboy in early 2023.
