Andreas Wijk continues to go from strength to strength, following his stellar single 2022 single if I was gay with his first new music of the year I miss someone who’s not missing me. The track sees Andreas co-write and co-produce with Carl-Philip Ström, with the number showcasing the Swedish star’s honest songwriting and heartfelt lyricism.
Andreas told fans: “Before writing “if I was gay” I used my music as a safe space where I could tell my stories in secret. Now the true meaning behind my lyrics doesn’t have to be a secret anymore. Thank you for changing my life by showing such love in the past few months. I feel so happy and relieved to be in this season of my life. ”I miss somebody who’s not missing me” is out now…and with this one I might tell your story as well.”
Andreas’s vocals shine on the number, accentuated by restrained electronic production which builds to a dramatic crescendo in the chorus. I miss someone who’s not missing me continues the singer-songwriter’s collaboration with Universal Music.
Andreas will be starring alongside fellow pop talent Anton Ewald in Sweden’s run of West End smash Moulin Rouge later this year.
