Norwegian pop legends A-ha topped the UK and Irish single charts back in 1985 with their smash single The Sun Always Shines on TV and now some fellow icons from their home nation take on the number. Eurovision heroes and professional banger deliverers KEiiNO reveal their take on A-ha’s track with Rüdiger Schramm and Tom Hugo producing the track, which was originally penned by Paul Waaktaar.
The trio made up of Tom Hugo, Alexandra Rotan and Fred Buljo debuted their cover at London’s Eurovision Party which saw the Spirit in the Sky hitmakers kick off proceedings at Soho’s Here at Outernet last weekend. The set also saw KEiiNO deliver their Eurovision public vote winner Spirit in the Sky and their MGP finalist Monument.
KEiiNO’s take on The Sun Always Shine on TV feels truly their own, brimming with pounding club friendly electronics, immaculate vocals, and Fred’s magical Sami additions. It marks the group’s first English single of the year.
KEiiNO’s Tom Hugo also dropped a solo number this year, Stuck in the Middle of Nowhere, ahead of an EP in June.
