Interview: Victor Vernicos Talks Representing Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with ‘What They Say’

Victor Vernicos has recently dropped What They Say his entry for the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. The rising talent will be representing Greece with the track which he writes and produces himself. What They Say is a powerful number steeped in emotion and we were fortunate enough to hear about the creative process behind the track when we chatted to Victor earlier this week.

In our interview, Victor shared his experiences filming the rain-soaked music video, his thoughts on the response to the song, and elaborated on some of the emotional cues throughout the track.

Victor also shared his recommendations for some hidden gems in Greece, his highlights of the Eurovision class of 2023, and also took part in our quickfire question round.
