Altered Images Continue Pop Music Return With New Song ‘The Other Side’

Altered Images made up of Clare Grogan and Steve Lironi, made an impressive comeback with 2022 album Mascara Streakz earlier this year. The album, released near forty years after the group’s third album in 1983, hit the Top 30 of the UK album chart and was well received by fans of the Scottish new wave favourites. Thankfully Altered Images have decided to ease our wait for further new music, dropping new single The Other Side this week.

Clare shares that the latest track from Altered Images is about ‘the sunshine returning to your mind’ and this is felt in its optimistic percussion and guitar heavy production. The Other Side is a slinky and feel-good number that shines through Clare’s engaging vocal and smooth pop sensibilities.

The Other Side is released through Cooking Vinyl who handled the release of Mascara Streakz. It is written by Clare and Steve with production also from Steve.
