The Penelopes and Isabelle Adjani Reunite On Contemporary Chanson Anthem ‘The Last Goodbye’

French indie electropop gurus The Penelopes first struck up magic with actress Isabelle Adjani in 2019 with their collaboration Meet Me By the Gates and now three years on, the group combine forces for The Last Goodbye.

The fresh number sees Adjani’s sultry vocal paired with moody piano-driven melodies from The Penelopes resulting in an absorbing, hypnotic concoction oozing with a glamorous charm. Repeating lyrical hooks and accompanying male vocals help The Last Goodbye shine like a lost chanson classic and magnificent follow-up to Meet Me By the Gates.

Adjani is fresh from starring in Francois Ozon’s latest feature Peter Von Kant, whilst The Penelopes have recently scored Adam Kalderon’s stellar queer sports drama The Swimmer.
