It’s always a pleasure for us to share news of a successful fellow Scot and Sean C Kennedy is the perfect example of such. Now settled in Nashville and shining as an independent artist, Sean releases his latest single Hurts To See You Go.
The track is the first taste of Sean’s upcoming 2023 album, shimmering in eighties radio pop-rock vibes with its euphoric blend of powerhouse percussion and synth work, with Sean selling this brand of nostalgic Springsteen-esque pop with a smooth sense of cool and emotional conviction. On the release, the musician shares: “Being patient has been a beautiful learning curve when it comes to my art. I have to let myself grow before I release music again.”
Sean co-writes with Rob Ricotta with the single exploring a doomed-to-fail relationship and the pain of its inevitable demise – yet this is balanced out by production from Sean and Jeff Bowman that brims with an optimistic undercurrent.
The musician has built up an impressive discography with albums including Let Life Love You and 77, as well as a plethora of EPs and singles which can be enjoyed here.
