It feels like a while since we’ve had a new collection from Jake Miller, but the US pop heartthrob brings that period to a close with his new EP Based On a True Story II which follows his 2019 set of the same name. Jake gives us a teaser of the new EP with Leave My Heart Alone which he co-writes and co-produces with Devin Kennedy.
Jake croons “When it’s late and I’m drunk, In the back of a cab and I’m on my own, Tried to find someone new, but they’ll never be you…” on the track which centres on the theme of struggling to move on from a past relationship. Jake’s smooth vocal is accompanied by minimalistic electronic production which helps give the track is a slick mellow sense of cool.
You can see the full tracklist below. You may notice Jake’s recent singles Keep Her and 8 Tattoos also feature on the set which arrives November 4th.
