Diana Ross lends her vocals to Turn Up The Sunshine, a new collaboration with Tame Impala which is set to feature on the upcoming soundtrack for Minions: The Rise of Gru. Who expected the first taste of the Minions soundtrack to slap this hard? Certainly not us.
This is the iconic pop diva’s second collaboration with Jack Antonoff who produced I Still Believe – one of the highlights of Ms Ross’s comeback album Thank You released last year. Turn Up The Sunshine is a joyously up-beat number channelling seventies grooves and uplifting lyrics as Diana purrs “Let’s do it all around the world / We gotta turn up the sunshine…”
Thank You was Diana Ross’s twenty-fifth album and charted at #7 in the UK album charts in 2021.
