German pop hunk Karsten Walter gears up to release his new album Komm näher (Come Closer) later this year, with the star giving us a taster of three of the tracks so far. The latest of these tracks is Hey, ich will leben (Hey, I Want to Live) – a buoyant electronic number that is tailor-made for the clubs – written by Petra Bonmassar and Simeon Holzer with production from Roman Lüth.
The dancefloor geared anthem will be joined by previous releases Komm näher (Rhythm of the Night) which samples the iconic DeBarge song of the same name, and also Sonne In Der Nacht an eighties flavoured synth ballad covering Peter Maffay.
On the release of the upcoming album, Karsten shares: “With “Come Closer” I would like to ask us all to move closer together again, to listen more and to accept everyone as they are. We need more positive vibes – especially in this time & that’s what my album should stand for!”
Karsten was previously part of German boyband Feuerherz (Fireheart) who released four albums in their native country. He is now making his way as a solo performer.
Komm näher arrives on the 3rd of June. You can stream the previously dropped tracks above.
