We can hardly contain our excitement writing this, but Swedish pop talent Darin has returned with a brand new slice of English language pop music, floorfilling gem Can’t Stay Away. The track marks Darin’s first major English language release since his album Exit back in 2013.
The track was co-written by Darin with Jamie Hartman and Matthew Burns – who also produce. Darin croons “So what do I do if I can’t stay away? I just keep on moving till you’re next me, What do I do if I can’t stay away? I can’t help getting closer than we’re meant to be…” against a seventies-influenced disco-beat with swirling Moroder inspired synths. It’s an elegant slice of Darin’s next musical chapter, with an album hopefully following in the not too distant future.
Darin shared his excitement about the new music on Instagram: “Today feels like the start of a new chapter for me, as an artist, but also personally. I’ve been so touched by the responses to my coming out post last summer. I can’t wait for you to hear the music I’m making. This finally feels so much like the part of me I’ve wanted to share for some time now. Enjoy ‘Can’t Stay Away'”
