Revisiting Jake Giles Slick Pop Gem ‘Cold Body’

Rising queer talent Jake Giles dropped his debut single Cold Body back late May and we have been revisiting it a lot over the past few days. The track is a slick, pop treat that tackles emotive themes, whilst showcasing Jake as an artist to watch out for.

Jake notes “The song captures the moment when the person you’ve shared a bed with is suddenly a stranger; plans you made, emotions you felt all fading out like a sad love song.” Cold Body does an impressive job at tackling a somewhat melancholy theme, yet wrapping it in sharp, power-pop production. There is a wistful, emotive quality in Jake’s vocal delivery ensuring that the lyrics are filled with conviction and heart.

The handsome American talent is currently working on his debut EP and if his debut track is an indication of the sonic territory and relatable themes covered, we’re very excited.
