David “Dave 1” Macklovitch and Patrick “P-Thugg” Gemayel aka Chromeo have been keeping themselves busy in lockdown with a surprise EP which has just landed on streaming services. Dubbed Quarantine Casanova, the EP features a number of electronic funk and dance anthems centred on the current pandemic.
The EP is not without its summery charms and humour evident in the song titles “Clorox Wipe,” “6 Feet Away,” “Stay In Bed (And Do Nothing),” “‘Roni Got Me Stressed Out,” and “Cabin Fever.”
All proceeds from digital and physical sales of the EP will be donated to Know Your Rights Camp COVID-19 Relief Fund, a decision made “in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and in recognition of COVID-19’s disproportionate impact on Black and POC communities.”
