We’ve made no secret of the fact that we have been dying for some English language bangers from Sergey Lazarev for a while and our wishes have been granted with Back In Time (feat. DJ Ivan Martin). The Russian Eurovision favourite fills the track with nostalgic eighties synths and emotive, dramatic vocals to produce a contemporary pop delight.
Back In Time marks Sergey’s first major English-language release since his track Goddess which featured on his EP Ya ne boyus’ . Sergey released Russian-language album Eto ya in December 2019 – it’s unclear if Sergey will release an English language version as he did with his previous LP The One and its original Russian equivalent V Epitsentre. In the meantime, we’re just going to enjoy Back In Time which you can hear below.
