Dagny made a splash at Mighty Hoopla earlier this month and will undoubtedly have further legions of pop fans, delighting in the release of her new single Same Again (For Love). The Norwegian star has quietly impressing with her music for a number of years and continues to shine with her latest cut which sees her collaborate with co-writers Edvard Førre Erfjord and Lise Reppe – the former who also produces.
Speaking on the lyrical inspiration behind Same Again (For Love), Dagny said: “Have you ever lost yourself in a relationship? Have you wished so desperately for it to work that you change things you like about yourself to fit the other person? Have you made compromises to the point where you completely lose sight of who you actually are and what you truly stand for? I have. And I won’t do that again…”
The number sees Dagny sing of losing herself in the throes of a new romance atop glistening synths. The track follows her previous single Heartbreak in the Making which will also feature on her yet to be announced sophomore album.
Dagny will also be touring across Europe throughout 2023/24. The dates can be seen below:
