San Francisco-born singer-songwriter Marc E. Bassy has been quietly impressing with his strong discography for a number of years now. His latest single Bloom sees him continue this upwards trajectory with the star collaborating with writers Jacob Olofsson and Simon Samaeng on the absorbing pop number.
The nostalgia set tale of a summer set heartbreak is produced by Ian McDonald, Jacob Olofsson and Alex Hau. Bassy croons: “Then the sky was so blue in the middle of June / You were in bloom / I let go of my gun, I walked into your room / You were in bloom baby” in the track’s enigmatic lyrics.
Bloom follows the US singer-songwriter’s previous singles Change My Ways and God Damn God Damn. It is not known if these will join Bloom on a feature length project from the rising talent.
Bassy takes to the stage at London’s Omeara on June 18th.
