We had the pleasure of chatting to two of Europe’s brightest pop talents Marcus & Martinus ahead of their performance at Melodifestivalen this weekend. The Norwegian singers will be fighting to win the contest with their single Air which sees them co-write with the dream team of writers including Jimmy “Joker” Thörnfeldt, Joy Deb, and Linnea Deb.
Marcus & Martinus have been quick to build up a huge international following the years since winning Melodi Grand Prix Jr back in 2012. Over this ten plus year career the boys have launched several successful tours and performances, taken part in television projects such as The Masked Singer Sverige and had hits with singles including Girls, Light It Up, When All the Lights Go Out and Gimme Your Love.
Marcus & Martinus are ones to watch ahead of Melodifestivalen’s upcoming third heat. The duo shared how rehearsals were going, what to expect from their “powerful” track Air, how they ended up taking part in Melfest and some of their Eurovision highlights. It was also great to hear some news about future singles from Marcus & Martinus, their plans for an upcoming tour, and to hear their quickfire answers to our final round of questions.
Thanks to Marcus & Martinus for chatting and their management for organising. You can watch them in Saturday’s Melodifestivalen Heat 3 on the 18th of February on SVT. Connect with Marcus & Martinus below:
