C. SHIROCK Releases Elegant Mediterranean Anthem ‘Come Summer’

Not just a pretty face C. Shirock transports us to the Summer holiday we sadly are not going to have this year with his anthemic Mediterranean influenced track, Come Summer.

Come Summer opens with gentle guitar evoking international influences, before turning into a synth-driven pop anthem that carefully intertwines these gentle Southern European sounds. C. Shirock’s vocals are engaging and hopeful, fully transporting us to sun-baked shores in this aspirational and uplifting pop track. The gorgeous up and coming talent notes: ““Come Summer” is a song about hoping for simpler days – days of ease, the feeling of summer, a time of stillness in the midst of life’s often tumultuous seasons. But also recognizing that there is a time for every season.”

Whilst currently residing in Los Angeles, C. Shirock – the C. standing for Chuck – has lived in Scotland, Nashville and the Philippines – perhaps accounting for the international influences in Come Summer. Chuck fronted pop-rock outfit Shirock previously, but has since decided to go it alone, noting: “I viewed it as a continuation or an evolution or sorts. It’s been incredibly freeing and liberating to chase whatever turns me on…to create without inhibition.”

If Come Summer is an indication of future music from C. Shirock, he is undoubtedly a talent to look out for. He manages to capture rich soaring melodic hooks, intelligent and engaging lyricism, and pulsing powerhouse bass rhythms. The track and previous singles Stand With me Tonight, Lost to the Night, and All We Have Is This Moment are thought to feature on C. Shirock’s upcoming album Evidence of Things Unseen. We’ll have more information about the album when it is released.
