Måns Zelmerlöw follows up his nostalgic banger What You Were Made For with a similar anthemic 80s flavoured cut, Midsummer Love. The track which draws inspiration from Måns’ teenage years was written by James New, Måns Zelmerlöw, Paul Whalley, and also produced by Whalley.
The Swedish Eurovision hunk shares: “[Midsummer Love is] about my teenage summers, about not knowing what life has in store for you, about my Ford Escort that kept breaking down but I still loved it because it symbolised freedom, about the first crush, about the sunsets on the beach with a beer (5) that may or may not have been stolen from my parents..and so on. We’ve been playing this live all summer and it’s SO much fun. I love it.”
Both singles are set to feature on Måns’ upcoming studio album which will follow 2019’s TIME. This will mark the Heroes singer’s seventh studio album.
