With four country finalists, it made sense that the RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars winners song was one with a Southern flavour. The result This Is Our Country was a contemporary country treat that drew some influence from Lil Nas X’s Old Town Road and the ever shifting style of country music – whilst also featuring genre icon Tanya Tucker.
This Friday saw the release of RuPaul and Tanya’s solo version of This Is Our Country – one that puts the finalists to the sidelines. In a fresh turn of events, it does give some further focus to the legendary Tanya whilst Ru also gets slightly more time to shine.
Currently, Tanya is working on her follow-up to her Grammy award winning While I’m Livin’ whilst Ru’s most recent studio album was 2020’s You’re a Winner, Baby. Tanya was previously a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season Two.
