Norwegian Eurovision heroes KEiiNO return with Monument, their entry into the country’s MGP 2021 (Melodi Grand Prix) which is the national final which will select the nation’s Eurovision entry. The Spirit in the Sky hitmakers will be hoping to capture the same magic as their audience vote winning 2019 entry.
Monument is a grandiose slice of Euro electropop featuring the vocals of Alexandra Rotan and Tom Hugo with Sami chants added through the contributions of Fred Buljo. The sound is unmistakably very KEiiNO with the fusion of schlager vocals paired with euphoric synth-filled production. The track is a tribute to all the people that we come into our lifecycle – the monuments in our lives.
The track is written by KEiiNO, Rüdiger Schramm and Alexander Nyborg Olsson, with Schramm and Tom Hugo producing. It has pre-qualified for the final of MGP21 but will be performed alongside the Semi Final One entrants on Saturday 16th of January.
