Edgar Ramirez takes centre stage in upcoming Netflix actioner, The Last Days of American Crime. The charismatic actor is directed by Olivier Megaton (the French filmmaker behind the Taken sequels) in this adaptation of Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini’s 2009 graphic novel. Anna Brewster, Michael Pitt, and Sharlto Copley round off the cast.
“As a final response to terrorism and crime, the U.S. government plans to broadcast a signal making it impossible for anyone to knowingly commit unlawful acts. Graham Bricke (Édgar Ramírez), a career criminal who was never able to hit the big score, teams up with famous gangster progeny Kevin Cash (Michael Pitt), and black market hacker Shelby Dupree (Anna Brewster), to commit the heist of the century and the last crime in American history before the signal goes off.”
The film, which is scheduled to drop June 5th, should serve as a strong platform for Ramirez who has been ploughing away with numerous high profile supporting roles in recent years in the likes of American Crime Story, The Girl on the Train, and Joy.
