Tapping into feelings of romantic nostalgia, Keith Urban releases breezy nostalgic new single Polaroid this weekend. Pairing Urban’s warm vocals with upbeat guitar lead production is a recipe for success with the new track shining as a feelgood jam.
Polaroid follows the previously released God Whispered Your Name and is thought to come ahead of his forthcoming studio album, due out later this year. This will follow 2018’s Graffiti U which peaked at #1 in the US Country Album charts.
Urban immediately connected with the story of Polaroid, noting in a statement: “I used to have this house that I lived in with a few guys in my band and at some point, someone gave us this Polaroid camera. We used it to take pictures of everybody and everything – crazy stuff that happened. We had all of these different pictures posted on a big board and I so clearly saw that the minute I heard the song.”
Like Urban’s best tracks this is upbeat guitar-driven country. You can hear it above.
