A Eurovision winner’s first post-victory single is always an exciting moment and Duncan Laurence has not disappointed with Love Don’t Hate It which follows his winning 2019 entry Arcade. He joins recent winners Måns Zelmerlöw (Should’ve Gone Home), Loreen (Crying Out Your Name) and Conchita Wurst (Heroes) in delivering an out and out follow-up hit. He notes:
Love Don’t Hate It is a song about fighting for who you are and who you choose to love. Because in the end it is always your choice to make. It’s my answer against the hate in the world, that will always keep trying to break down what we crave most: love.
