Benjamin Ingrosso Continues To Deliver Timeless Pop Excellence on ‘Better Days’

Benjamin Ingrosso is currently taking Europe by storm in his most recent tour – performing a stellar standout show in London last night – and the star celebrates with new single Better Days. The track follows the Swedish pop hunk’s chart-topping hit Kite, which he recently revamped with a version featuring fellow Eurovision star Olly Alexander.

Better Days is the second taste of Benjamin’s upcoming new studio album, which we can expect at some point this year, with the single tapping an idea into a youthful naivety and hopefulness. The star shares: “Better Days is about hope, youthful naivety, and longing for things to get better. It somewhat describes my personality – to always want to see the positive and believe that everything will get better. I’ve been holding on to this song for almost 4 years, but all the upcoming songs very much describe my current state of mind, the pursuit of a happy life well spent. I want to spread love.”

Benjamin draws inspiration from classic seventies and eighties pop sounds on the new music, with the star making a conscious effort to avoid the polished world of contemporary pop. He notes: ”In the new music, the rawness and dirt of punk has been given more space, and I have consciously chosen not to have a more polished and ‘modern’ sound. ‘Timelessness’ is a key word for everything I’ve tried to create now. The lyrics are more straightforward, written from personal experiences but sometimes with a broader perspective. I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited about my music as I am with this song, and all the new music you’re going to get from me this year.”
