Achille Lauro releases his first single since representing San Marino at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest with his underrated highly-charged rock anthem Stripper. Never one to bow to expectation, Achille changes his sound for Fragole (‘Strawberries’), a sensual reggae themed number that sees him collaborate with Italian singer-songwriter Rose Villain.
With the lyrics conjuring up imagery of strawberries as a sensual forbidden fruit, Achille and Rose croon on the romantic number written with Davide Petrella and Simon Pietro Manzari, and produced by Gow Tribe, Gregorio Calculli and Banf.
Lauro releases the track through Elektra Records / Warner Music Italy. Lyrics loosely translate as “Strawberries, cream and champagne / Strawberries under the moon / tonight another will say: I’ve never told anyone… doll… tomorrow I’ll come back to you with a new lie / so much you don’t care about me you want strawberries.”
