Alexander Ludwig revealed himself to be a confident musical star as well as actor with his debut self-titled EP which dropped in 2021. Now the country talent further delights fans of his smooth vocals and classic country sound with the announcement of his debut album Highway 99, arriving August 26th.
Alexander packs the upcoming LP with 16 songs, including his latest single Faded On Me – a slick, immaculately-constructed modern country anthem produced by Kurt Allison and Tully Kennedy. On the new release, Alexander shares: “If my album could be summed up in a song it would be ‘Faded On Me’. The song spoke to me so much. As a kid, my parents taught me to roll with the punches, and this song is all about that. Taking whatever life throws your way and throwing it right back.”
Allison and Kennedy produce the whole album which also features contributions from David Lee Murphy (Sheryl Crow, Kenny Chesney) and Michael Dulaney (Jason Aldean, Reba McEntire).
Alexander has been songwriting since the age of 12, growing up in Vancouver. Inspired by the Canadian backcountry, he would venture up Highway 99 to the family cabin on Whistler Mountain. Much of this scenic route inspired his love of classic country music – the influence of which you will undoubtedly be able to enjoy on the upcoming LP.
