Very sad news about the passing of British composer John Barry, at age 77. Barry gave a distinctive sound to many film scores and stood out as one of the country’s finest composers. Scoring 11 of the Bond films – Barry gave a quintessential sound to the series, known to millions. As well as the Bond series Barry also scored some other magnificent films – Born Free, Zulu, Out of Africa and many others. Listening back to these tracks, really shows us we’ve lost a true genius. RIP John Barry.
