Trailer: Zac Efron in Parkland

Considering it’s such an important piece of American history, it’s surprising that the Kennedy assassination has not been covered on film all that much. The team behind upcoming indie drama Parkland must have noticed this too and have gone to set things straight.

Peter Landesman’s film recounts the events of the Kennedy assassination and focuses on the aftermath at the Dallas’ Parkland Hospital. From the trailer it appears that Parkland will go into some depth about the Zapruder film (amateur footage of the assassination) and the CIA’s attempt to use this to pin down Lee Harvey Oswald.

Parkland stars Zac Efron, Paul Giamatti, Marcia Gay Harden, and Billy Bob Thornton.

It receives its US release on the 20th of September and hits UK cinemas on the 8th of November.
