East Sussex based singer-songwriter Alexander Mountain celebrates releasing his second single, acoustic guitar anthem We Fall Down. The rising star draws inspiration from Bon Iver, Gabrielle Aplin and BANKS, but ultimately the track is an impressive showcase for Alexander’s original and authentic voice as an artist.
Alexander originally composed the track for piano, but later chose to set the song to bold acoustic guitar backing. We were immediately struck by his powerful unfaltering vocals and the distinctive earthy richness in his voice. We Fall Down is packed with emotive imagery, capturing the fleeting nature of life and the majesty of Mother Earth. It is a sharp, eloquent slice of contemporary folk music.
The track follows Alexander’s 2019 debut track Blizzard and continues to assert him as a talent to look out for. We’re excited by future releases from the handsome star, especially as he shines as a proud, openly gay voice in the world of contemporary folk-pop.
