US Star Justin Jesso Releases Dangerously Romantic New Pop Hit ‘Closer’

We’ve featured US star Justin Jesso on the site a few times, but his latest track has really caught our ear. Justin releases Closer, which is a sure-fire hit and showcase for him as an artist.

Closer is penned by Michael Fatkin and Peter Hannah, with the song tapping into the feelings of being with someone you know is bad for you. Justin sings: ‘When I’m with you / The only thing I need to be is closer / When I’m with you / Your body’s telling me this isn’t over / And I’d spend a lifetime feeling this way / But you’re not mine I’m not okay…’, capturing the dangerous romantic sentiment.

Justin has continued to go from strength to strength in recent years, with a multitude of hits including Stargazing with near 570 million Spotify streams alone, Bigger Than, and Best of Us. Justin released his debut album, Finding the Opposite of Loneliness, back in 2022. Eurovision fans might remember Justin as the entrant for Illinois on the sole season of the American Song Contest, with his track Lifeline.
