Stephen Sanchez Delivers Motown Inspired Soul on 60s-Influenced ‘Sweet Love’

We recently questioned what the sound of Stephen Sanchez’s sophomore album would be – and the star answers that question with the swinging soul number Sweet Love. Stephen’s debut Angel Face saw him tackle the sound of a 50s troubadour, but now he moves towards a 1960s influence with the Motown-inspired optimism of Sweet Love.

Produced by Oscar Görres and co-written by Stephen and Oscar, the number is an uplifting groover sees the California native croon: “‘Cause your sweet love, it’s got a hold on me now, yeah / And I ain’t ever gon’ let you go, no, no, no…” backed with bouncing production and a warmly nostalgic tone.

Between Angel Face and his anticipated follow-up, the musician released music as part of a duo dubbed Dress and Tie with French singer Devi.
