Spain’s Benidorm Fest Star Aritz Arén Releases New Single ‘MUÑECO’ (‘Toy Boy’)

We have fond memories of Aritz Arén’s incredible Benidorm Fest performance of Flamenco, a number that put the handsome Spaniard on the international pop map. Artiz’s post Benidorm Fest releases have been an equally high standard – including his freshly dropped new single MUÑECO – translating to Doll or Toy Boy.

MUÑECO is a bold and empowering Latin pop anthem that delves into how people are objectified – especially in nightlife – while also flipping the script as Aritz embraces being desired but sets boundaries, controls the narrative, and refuses to be owned.

Released through Capitol Records Spain, the track is penned by Aritz, Bárabara Reyzábal González Aller, Jonathan Baños Pons, and Manel Navarro Quesada. Jonathan Pons contributes the club-friendly production.

The topical themes of Aritz’s lyrics are channelled into the single artwork (check the Barbie inspiration below) and also the highly-charged music video above which sees Aritz hit the dancefloor in the club for an impressively choreographed routine.
