Sam Palladio begins a new musical chapter with his danceable pop tune Glitter. The track marks a new partnership with indie label 3686 Records, and sees Sam combine his skills as a singer-songwriter with smooth disco-flavoured pop hooks.
Sam shares: “This song is about finding my feet again in a modern dating world … it’s a classic unrequited love sad boy pop song that, sonically, feels like an undeniable dance tune,” He adds: “I hope it captures the feeling of longing for someone, but also makes you want to dance through the loneliness.”
The track was marked by Sam becoming single again, navigating the world of night life and singledom, whilst also balancing grief for past relationships and the very personal loss of a grandfather and dog. There is a juxtaposition between the euphoric excitement of the dancefloor, with the personal reflections on the end of a relationship from a childhood bedroom in lyrics such as “I’m under the covers / She’s covered in glitter / She’s dancing with someone / But I can’t be bitter.”
